FP1:

Although IÕve put the times (at the usual one second intervals) but they are completely meaningless as the track was very wet at start, the rain stopped after a few minutes and the track started to dry. Eventually cars went out on intermediates, and as it dried more so some put of slicks towards the end. Verstappen spun harmlessly, as did Kvyat, but then Albon ran wide onto the grass and straight to the barrier, bringing out the red flag and an end to the session.

FP2:

Despite it being dry (but overcast) this was another session in which the times arenÕt really representative. First of all there was a great deal of catching up to do since the first session was a wash-out. Then the second have of the session (when the track was probably at its best) they were doing race simulations so the times were well below the times recorded here. Kubica crashed before setting a time.

 Q1:

Nothing special in this session. Sainz had an engine problem before he could finish a timed lap so fails to qualify. However, I have no doubt the stewards will allow him to start. If he has to use a new engine he will probably start from the pit lane,
