FP1:

The shortest currently used grand prix circuit as can be seen by the lap times!

Usual FP1 thing with times and even the finishing order due to the test nature of the session.

Robert Kubica took over Sirotkinís car for the session and it was very much a test with him running different setups to try and determine why the Williams is so slow. Everything from wing angles to wheel camber was adjusted. If he found something then maybe something might show up in FP2.

FP3:

The Haas cars seem to like this track. With 7 minutes to go Verstappen pulled over with what looked like a total electrical failure. Then with lest than a minute to go Leclerc pulled over with a gearbox failure, although it looked more electrical than mechanical.

GRID:

Leclerc gets a 5-place penalty for an unscheduled gearbox change after the problem he had at the end of FP3. Vettel gets a 3-place penalty for impeding Sainz in Q2, and Hartley has an engine change so drops to the back of the grid (from 19th!!!).Alonso relegated to a pitlane start because he had to put a new front wing on overnight.

RACE:

Quite an exciting race on the whole.Always interesting when you lose top drivers early on, and when they are all caught out because the tyres didnít work as well with the much higher track temperature. Stroll ignored blue flags and was penalised 10 seconds thus dropping him behind Sirotkin.
